Dear Sarah,With reference to your recent engagement as our Agent we would like to provide you with a testimonial to show in part our gratitude for your sterling work.I spent hours on the web searching for suitable properties to move to - this is by far and away the best way to establish an initial guide for me as I am moving 40 miles away. However, I have found that it is also imperative to be able to speak to a trustworthy Estate Agent who can augment the information and alert me to new properties and highlight the potential of properties I may not otherwise have considered using "traditional" search engine parameters. Place Estate Agents are a rarity: they do have a visually stunning and wholly intuitive web site which fully marketed my own property and maximised exposure - they appear on the main generic searches (Right Move, Primelocation, Vebra etc) and we were excited by the clarity and detail Place used to attract potential buyers. So selling our own house has been simple. Does using Place Estate Agents work? In less than four weeks (in December, including the "dead" Christmas period) Place arranged and managed over a dozen viewings: we have had three offers and have accepted one and are now able to move in the New Year. There has been of course one important ingredient added to her superb website that has so amply marketed our property that has made this house sale so genuinely easy: Sarah Cassidy and her staff at her new agency Place are exceptions to the estate agency "myth" (or rule, depending on one's stance). They are a cut above any others I have dealt with, by doing all the simple things right (they call you back, are truly a delight to deal with, they proactively inform you, they actually do what they say they will do) and they give excellent, trustworthy and ultimately correct market advice coupled with bespoke information relevant to one's own circumstances. Had I gone to established "chain" Agents not only would I have achieved a lower sale price (I was advised by two other Agents to market the property at a lower price than I have accepted - I suspect to "generate a quick sale in "today's market""), my previous experience tells me I should only now, in January of the New Year be anticipating some viewings ("Ah, but" one disappointed competitor Agent warned (actually "scoffed") upon being informed I had given my commission elsewhere, "I'll be interested to see their advertising campaign" and launching into a well rehearsed spiel about their expenditure in local magazines and papers). I'm sold. And I'm sold on Place. Without hesitation I would recommend anyone to use Place Estate Agents and already have to some close friends. Dealing with Place was like a breath of fresh air. We had sold houses twice over the last 4 years and although the local high street estate agency had sold the house each time what frustrated me was the fact that they seemed to lose interest once the buyer was found. Getting an offer is only part of the deal. A true agent will follow it through to exchange and completion and so many high street agents seem to get bored and lose interest with the details.
